Hyypia admits Brighton have failed to replace Ulloa

first_img Leonardo Ulloa in action for Leicester City Brighton boss Sami Hyypia admits the club have failed to replace Leonardo Ulloa since the striker moved to Leicester City in the summer. The 28-year-old joined the Foxes for £8m in July, after scoring 23 goals in 50 Championship games for Brighton – helping them reach the play-off semi-finals.However, since Ulloa’s departure, Brighton have just scored 13 goals in 16 league games and it was a similar tale last night as they once again drew a blank in their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham in the Capital One Cup fourth round.Ulloa was watching in the stands with the Brighton fans at White Hart Lane and Hyypia admitted they have missed the Argentine’s goals.“I didn’t know that he was in the stands. I don’t know if we haven’t been able to replace him but he scored a lot of goals for us last year,” said Hyypia.“Every team needs a goalscorer.” 1last_img read more
